This Saturday 7th May, males aged 65 and over will be able to attend a free health screening appointment at Queens Park Rangers Football Club, as part of a nationwide drive to deliver more Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Screening appointments across the country.
Aneurysms cause over 3,000 deaths in England every year if left untreated, so this programme will provide vital services and help to detect potential problems much earlier.
The NHS-led programme is being delivered by InHealth, the UK’s only independent healthcare provider of AAA Screening in the country and is the first of its kind to be held in a public football stadium, designed to make healthcare even more accessible for men who are most at risk of this condition.
Located at the Queen Park Rangers (QPR) Football Stadium, the event will be attended by men who have been invited via NHS letter, where they will attend a short screening appointment, run by expert clinical teams, who provide a simple, free and painless ultrasound scan of their abdomen to look for an aneurysm, with results being shared straight away.
